Start of 24 week training program for St. George Marathon

This is the first workout of my 24 week training program through Nike Coach on the Nike plus website using the intermediate level marathon progam. As I have been doing, it consists of mostly shorter runs during the week & a long run on Sat. This will take me right up to the St. George, UT marathon, 4 Oct 08. It not only stresses distance, but has some sprints & hills worked into the program. If I complete all the runs, each month I’ll run further: April - 94 miles, May - 115 miles, June - 136 miles, July - 149 miles, Aug - 170 miles & Sept - 150 miles. I’ll try to keep to the workouts & shoot for a marathon goal time of less than 3 hours 30 minutes in the marathon, or average pace less than 8 minute/mile. Here we go!
